It’s been a while since I’ve posted. But too many things have been dropped in my mailbox to not share. I know a lot of people just toss the stuff directly into recycling. But this weekend you have a choice:

  • UPDATED: The Ottawa Bagel Shop is celebrating 30 years this weekend. Sorry I forgot to tell you yesterday. Today is the last day for 6 bagels for $1.75 (sesame, poppy and plain only).
  • The Bluesfest School of Music & Art is having an open house this Saturday from 11 to 3.  You can find out more here.
  • Bayview Yards Community Open House and Tours is also happening on Saturday from  2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at 7 Bayview Road. You can learn more about
the future Innovation Centre at Bayview Yards and the plans for the area while getting a tour of the historic grounds.
  • Also on Saturday, the Ottawa Brewery Market is from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Hintonburg Park (Fairmont Ave/Duhamel St). Three brewers will be there:  Big Rig, Covered Bridge and Kichesippi.  Stone Soup Foodworks is providing food. FREE admission. Event takes place rain or shine. Children welcome—park features a wonderful, play area. Bring your chairs, blankets and lawn games, and spend the day.  (But the forecast is looking more rain than shine.

You also might want to find some good walking shoes to get ready for next weekend’s Jane’s Walks.
